Manual Settings: Embrace the M Word
Is fear of the “M Word” keeping your photography at a level where you hope that one or two shots “turn out”? This is a terrific class to learn the ins and outs of to the manual settings on your SLR camera so you can consistently take photographs that you are proud of.
This engaging, interactive course is taught by professional photographers, Jason and Darcie Brown of Revival Arts. It is perfect for anyone who has an SLR camera and isn’t using manual settings to their full potential. Jason and Darcie have seen light bulbs turn on as they have explained manual settings to hundreds of students with their easy to understand method of creating balanced exposures.
This is a hands-on class which allows, Jason and Darcie to help each participant find the settings on his or her camera after a new concept is explained. This class is a must for people with a new camera and no desire to read the manual!

What kind of camera do I need for this class?
You need a digital or film SLR camera. This is a camera where the lens is removable and you can have complete control over all of the settings.
What level is this class for?
This class is geared for people who like photography and like their camera but aren’t sure how to use the manual settings. We thoroughly explain ISO, shutter speed, white balance and aperture and how they work together to create proper exposures. You will be able to confidently use your camera on manual by the end of class.
What do I need to bring to class?
Please bring your camera and your manual.

All Revival Arts courses are for amateur photographers only. If you have a blog and/or Facebook page dedicated to your photography, or if people pay you to photograph them, we will be happy to recommend other classes for individuals pursuing photography as a career or side business. At this point in our careers, we are not offering photography seminars for non-amateurs but you are always welcome to give us a call to chat!
You can register for courses through our website, email or phone. Spaces are limited and fill quickly, so register today as we work on a first come, first serve basis. Payment is required to reserve your seat in the class. We accept Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Interac and Cash. Prices do not include HST.. Prices do not include HST.
All photography class payments are non-refundable. However, we realize that life happens and sometimes people are unable to attend a photography class they have registered for. If this happens, we require 48-hour cancellation notice in order to exchange your payment for credit towards another photography class. Or you may use the credit for photography sessions or product.
If a class is cancelled by Revival Arts due to unforeseen circumstances participants will be given the option to transfer to another class or receive a full refund.
