SLRs For Dummies
Is it time to pull out your awesome SLR camera and get to know some of its basic settings? This is a terrific introductory course for anyone who has an SLR camera and has been intimidated, stumped, or hasn't had time to crack open their 127 page manual.
Join professional photographers, Jason and Darcie Brown, for a relaxed course at Revival Arts where they will demystify the basics of your camera, answer your questions and point you in the right direction to start taking photographs with your SLR camera.
In this course we will teach you how to focus, when to use different automatic settings, how to change your lens and how to download cards. This course will include instruction with easy to understand notes. We will also do some fun, hands on exercises using your camera to make sure that you leave being able to do everything we taught.

What is an SLR camera?
SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex which is a description of the mechanics of your camera. If you can remove the lens on your camera, there's a very good chance it's an SLR which means you have more options for manual settings.

Registration details:
All Revival Arts courses are for amateur photographers only. If you have a blog and/or Facebook page dedicated to your photography, or if people pay you to photograph them, we will be happy to recommend other classes for individuals pursuing photography as a career or side business. At this point in our careers, we are not offering photography seminars for non-amateurs but you are always welcome to give us a call to chat!
You can register for courses through our website, email or phone. Spaces are limited and fill quickly, so register today as we work on a first come, first serve basis. Payment will be required at the time of registration. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Interac and Cash. Prices do not include HST.
All photography class payments are non-refundable. However, we realize that life happens and sometimes people are unable to attend a photography class they have registered for. If this happens, we require 48-hour cancellation notice in order to exchange your payment for credit towards another photography class. Or you may use the credit for photography sessions or product.
If a class is cancelled by Revival Arts due to unforeseen circumstances participants will be given the option to transfer to another class or receive a full refund.
